Being quiet, low in emissions and reliable in transporting goods to customers is becoming increasingly important for many companies – especially in urban environments. To meet these requirements, we offer the battery-electric eVito and soon the eSprinter vehicles for many industries.
Electrical Greetings from Vienna
Last week, around 400 international fleet customers of Mercedes-Benz Vans were able to experience the qualities of the eVito – in theory and practice – during the two-day workshop "eVans Experience". In the field of electromobility there are numerous questions for fleet customers, such as the effective range of vehicles or charging management. On the first day, theoretical background knowledge was given with a presentation on the eDrive@Vans strategy and keynote speech about mobile technology and digital transformation by Sascha Pallenberg.
As a special treat the workshop participants got insight into the future on the exhibited vision URBANETIC. At the evening event, experts answered questions about eDrive@Vans in a relaxed atmosphere.
On the second day of the eVans Experience, workshops informed about the topics product portfolio, connectivity, and the ecosystem around electromobility of Mercedes-Benz Vans. The workshops were followed by the highlight of the day and closing event: A drive through Vienna’s streets with the eVito. The driving event as a direct product experience for fleet customers once again confirmed that it is a very suitable means of getting to know a new vehicle – this was an already unanimous opinion of the participants at last year's event on the new Sprinter. An authentic experience like this is all the more important for the field of electromobility. A total of 24 battery-electric eVito panel vans were available to the participants for extensive testing concerning their suitability for everyday use on a 25 kilometer city course.
